Recently, a picture was stolen from the website of one of the covens of the Tangled Woods, and used without their permission on another site. The picture depicted Coven of the Tangled Pines at their annual Inner Grove retreat last fall. The picture was used without permission in a blog posted by "Magus Masonica," who describes himself as the head of an organization in Washington State by the name of Masoneria Egipcia del Antiguo Primitivo Rito de Memphis Misraim (quite a mouthful!). In the blog, the photo is used to introduce a new group, Temple Sobek-Ra, that he claims is being formed under the guidance of his organization.
We would like to take this opportunity to officially state that neither the Tangled Woods Tradition nor Coven of the Tangled Pines is in any way affiliated with Masoneria Egipcia del Antiguo Primitivo Rito de Memphis Misraim or with "Magus Masonica," who is listed on another website by the name of Brad Cofield. We are in no way associated with any branch of Masonry. Whether or not Temple Sobek-Ra is an actual organization, the picture used to represent them has been stolen and used without permission in a very misleading manner. We have contacted the individual who posted the blog using this photograph and insisted that it be removed. We will update this website to reflect any new developments.
